As part of enriching pupils' learning, all Year 7 pupils are invited on a trip to explore the Lickey Hills.
Pupils learn about the area's fascinating features and history via a series of interactive activities linked to geography, science, history, art, and English.
The year group is split into smaller groups to complete tasks that challenge them artistically, creatively, physically, and intellectually.
It is a great outdoor day, enjoyed by all staff and pupils.
The theme for the Year 7 display this year is diversity and equality. Pupils looked into these topics during a day of activities focused on ensuring they understood the importance of treating everyone fairly and with respect. Neighbourliness is one of our character virtues.

The Year 7 team were very impressed by the creativity of a number of pupils who demonstrated their character virtue of ‘motivation’ by creating Book in a Book competition entries. There were so many fantastic entries it was extremely difficult to choose. Well done to H Allen and E Hodgetts who were judged to be the best on the day in the Year 7 category.
All of Year 7 got creative and theatrical to develop their character virtues of ‘Neighbourliness’ by working together to create door displays inspired by a selection of Shakespeare’s plays. As you can see, a wonderful array of artwork and crafts were created by the pupils to celebrate World Book Day with the prominence it deserved.
